01. The challenge
Konges Sløjd wanted to create a customer club that gives benefits to their loyal customers when they shop on their Shopify webshop. This had to play along with their email marketing, which required syncing data across Shopify and Klaviyo.
02. Rethinking Shopify Accounts
Profile data
The customers' user profile contains a comprehensive overview with a new design. Customers can add and edit their children's birthdays, change marketing permissions and their club status. An overview of previous orders and delivery addresses has also been developed. All this makes it easy to keep track of important information and customize the shopping experience as needed.
Wish list
The new wish list makes it possible to save products on the user profile when logged in. The function makes it easier to organize and share wishes and creates a more personal and pleasant shopping experience.
Birthdays
It is very easy to add and/or edit birthdays directly from the user profile. It is possible to create a birthday for all your children, where you can also enter a name for each child. All this data is synchronized in Konges Sløjd's email marketing platform Klaviyo, where automations have been set up that send out emails to customers on their children's birthdays. All this is made possible by our custom data synchronization.
04. Data synchronization
It was necessary to develop a fully customized integration between Shopify and Klaviyo. It aims to synchronize data between Shopify and Klaviyo's API. This makes it possible to change the data on the user profile and to update the information in Klaviyo in real time at the same time.
Our integration enables Konges Sløjd to collect birthdays, marketing permissions and customer club registrations – as well as create exclusive products – completely without the use of third-party apps. This helps to create a good user experience, as the customers themselves can add/edit data saved in their user profile.
